Inside Our Luxe 3-Night Stay at the Four Seasons Hotel in Downtown Houston: Here's Why You’ll Never Want to Leave
When I think of five-star hotels in downtown Houston, the Four Seasons Hotel stands out as a premier destination, offering a blend of luxury, comfort, and exceptional service. My husband and I recently spent three nights in this iconic property, and our stay was nothing short of memorable.
A Stunning Renovation
Upon arrival, we were immediately struck by the gorgeous renovation work done by Meyer Davis and Rottet Studio. Throughout the hotel, tones of indigo, brass, calacatta marble, and warm wood were tastefully used, creating a luxurious yet calming atmosphere. Splashes of other muted colors were added sparingly, allowing the elegance of the materials to shine through. The modern yet inviting design was apparent throughout the hotel, but the view from the third floor, looking down at the staircase and lobby, truly stole the show for me. Our room, an Executive King Suite, was comfortable and spacious and made for a restful and enjoyable stay.
Fitness & Spa Amenities
One of the highlights of the hotel was its fitness center, which was spacious and well-equipped. We spent a good amount of time here, and it was a pleasure to work out in such a well-maintained space. Another perk of staying at the Four Seasons Hotel in downtown Houston is the access to spa amenities. After our workouts, we took full advantage of the steam room, leaving us relaxed and rejuvenated.
Dining in Downtown Houston: Toro Toro and Bayou & Bottle
The dining options at the Four Seasons are top-notch, and we didn’t even need to leave the property to experience some of the best downtown Houston restaurants. Toro Toro Houston, located on the third floor, had an elevated interior design that perfectly matched the exquisite food. We couldn’t resist the Bone-In Beef Rib Al Carbon, which was so tender it practically melted in our mouths, while the duck confit tacos added a rich, flavorful touch to our meal. The restaurant itself is a true gem, making it a must-visit when dining in downtown Houston. And the cocktails? Phenomenal—perfectly crafted and full of flavor.
For a more casual setting, we loved Bayou & Bottle at this Four Seasons Hotel in downtown Houston. It’s a popular spot for lunch, especially for those working nearby. The Pimento Cheese dish was a standout, but the chocolate cake was what really left a lasting impression—I’m still thinking about it! The laid-back, yet refined atmosphere here was complemented by their fantastic selection of cocktails. It’s an ideal spot to unwind and enjoy some of the best dining in downtown Houston.
Although we didn’t have the chance to explore Bandista, the hotel’s exclusive speakeasy bar, it’s on my list for a future visit. The Four Seasons continues to surprise with its hidden gems, and I can’t wait to experience this hidden treasure next time!
Outstanding Service
The staff made our stay especially enjoyable. Everyone we encountered was welcoming and helpful, ensuring that we had everything we needed during our visit. A special shoutout to Oscar at Toro Toro, whose attentiveness added to an already fantastic dining experience, and Pedro from the Room Service team, who made sure our in-room meals were delivered promptly and perfectly. With such thoughtful service, we felt truly cared for throughout our stay.
