A Luxurious Stay in the Heart of the City: My Experience at Conrad New York Midtown Hotel

Nestled in the center of Manhattan is the Conrad New York Midtown hotel. With easy access to the subway (a 2-min walk) and residential-style accommodations, this quiet Conrad Hotels location serves as a chic and comfortable home away from home, especially if you’re looking for a hotel near Central Park or Times Square.

Interior design

This building was developed by design firm Stonehill Taylor and is more reminiscent of an art collector’s pied-a-terre than a traditional hotel room. As soon as you walk in, you see a large-scale sculpture of a hyperreal woman sitting on an inflatable swan. Art pieces also adorn the walls of each room, with books placed carefully across the space, and Alexander Calder-style mobiles sprinkled throughout the hallways.

ACCOMMODATIONS

The room I had was also more spacious than your typical New York hotel, which was a relief to see. It was a King Suite which had one bedroom and a separate living and dining area.

There’s one restaurant on-site called Dabble that serves a generous a la carte American breakfast and delicious brioche bun burger. After a few days at the hotel, you’ll want something different. Fortunately, you’re in the middle of NYC and have access to an abundance of solid dining options within a walking distance.

Convenient location to Central Park & Times Square

One of the highlights of staying at Conrad New York Midtown Hotel is its prime location. Situated in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, it's just a stone's throw away from iconic attractions like Central Park and Times Square. I took advantage of this proximity and spent a leisurely afternoon strolling through the park, taking in the natural beauty amidst the bustling city.

Walk down 7th Ave and you’ll pass by Carnegie Hall and the gorgeous Petrossian apartment building. Make your way through 6th Ave and you can catch a glimpse of The Museum of Modern Art (MOMA). If you’re heading toward Times Square, you can look forward to passing by many popular delis such as Pick A Bagel on 8th Ave and Premier Deli on 7th Ave.

What’s more, when you book an upper level suite at this midtown Manhattan hotel, wonderful views of Central Park and the Hudson River await you, as well as deliciously scented Byredo bath amenities. It was a treat to experience golden hour here and watch the sun set over Central Park.

CONCLUSION

If you're looking for the perfect base to explore the best that New York City has to offer, look no further than Conrad New York Midtown Hotel. I wholeheartedly recommend it for anyone seeking a hotel in Midtown NYC, as it truly encapsulates the essence of comfort and convenience in the heart of the bustling metropolis.
